Calendar:
The YOLO calendar of events is located at the bottom of the first page of the website (home).
Click on the month you wish to view. If the message is underlined a pop up will explain more about the event-mostly who you can email with questions.
Organizing Activities:
Each YOLO member must organize one activity a year. There are suggested activities listed on the website, or many other activities exist to choose from. When you find an event you wish to organize, please write up a "who, what, where, and when" statement and send it to Linda at yologang14@gmail.com. If you need a sign up sheet, Linda can make one for you and place it in the email to the group.
- If your event requires use of any indoor or outdoor Villages property, Linda Mason will need to submit a request for the use of the facility on the date you have requested. Use of the property is dependent upon availability.
All New Years Eve recreational center facility requests are for club rental only.
- If you wish to include people in your event and use Villages facilities, who do not possess Villages ID cards or temporary ID cards, a rental fee will be attached to the request for the facility.
- If you wish to hire a non-Villager as entertainment, you must also submit the entertainers contact information and a contract will need to be obtained between YOLO and the entertainer.
- If your event requires theatre tickets you may either offer to buy the tickets by a certain date, purchase your tickets or tell people where your seats are so they can purchase them on their own. The latter method is much easier, of course. Usually people pick a restaurant to go to before or after the event to make a great evening of it and it gives everyone a chance to talk together.
- If your event requires money to be collected please indicate the fee. If you need money for food or something from the club, please fill out the Exp Request form and submit it for approval.
If we do not have an event scheduled during any particular month, it is open for members to put their activities on. You may request a month through Linda at yologang14@gmail.com.
