Monthly Executive Golf Competition: Jim Thompson and Beth Disque will host the executive golf. Each couple who signs up will be assigned playing partners, given a course to play, and informed about the “game”, usually a 4 person scramble. The foursome choses a mutually agreeable date and time to play sometime during the month and reports their score to the hosts after completion of the round. The courses and instructions will be listed on the website at the link below under the appropriate month. To determine where you will be playing click here: LINK. The first page has the players by month listed. Those who have paid will be playing that month. MONTHLY YOLO NO STRESS Golf-9 Hole Country Club No Stress Golf. Al and Dori Palmer invite YOLO members to participate in a monthly golf game on the THIRD Thursday of each month, starting on July 17th. This is a fun 4-person scramble skins game with men playing from the green tees and women playing from the friendly tees. You will be paired with different players each month depending on how many participate. Each player pays their own greens fees and contributes $2 pp for skins the evening of play. YOU MUST SIGN UP ON THE SIGN UP SHEET BELOW BY THE THIRD SUNDAY OF THE MONTH. AL WILL EMAIL THE PARTICIPANTS WHICH COURSE THREE DAYS OUT. SIGN UP SHEET Additional rules-women and men after age 80 may tee up the ball anywhere except traps. Bogey is the maximum score on any hole. Teams will congregate after the round to settle up skins. Participants may meet after for drinks or food. Singles or couples may sign up. Three players will play with a “ghost” rotating shots.

Tuesday, September 8th at 4:30 PM.Chris and Tom Wiseman wish to invite YOLO members to join them at Barons Creek Vineyards at 1171 Main St, Spanish Springs for a wine tasting. They offer a $25.00 wine tasting for 5 different varieties. We recommend The Explorer for the first time. It includes a Sauvignon Blanc, a Chardonnay, a Rose, a Texas Tempranillo (which is similar to a Spanish rioja), and Crazy Train (this is their signature Cabernet, very yummy). Or you can taste 5 different white wines, or 5 different red wines. You may also taste 5 different white wines, or 5 different red wines. There is also the option of having a glass of wine or a bottle of wine. They also have for purchase a charcuterie board, 12" pizzas and small bites appetizers. Limit to first 20 people to sign up. We will dine immediately after at the Orange Blossom Resturant. Please sign up quickly, so we can confirm the reservations.Green fees are $9.90 pp. Golfers can enter as a couple, foursome or as a single. Singles and couples will be paired up. Please indicate if you will be staying for dinner. Winners and prizes will be awarded at dinner. Golfers are responsible for their own dinner and drinks. Men will play from the white tees unless they are 80+ then they may play from the GREEN. Women will play from the GREEN tees unless they are over 70 and then they may play from the GOLD. Entry fee will be $5 per golfer. The $5 will be collected prior to playing golf that day. The group will be playing a Scramble and is open to all skill levels – in a Scramble, every player hits a tee shot. The best shot is chosen, and players hit from that spot (Club Length allowed on fairway and Club Head on Green). Play is continued in that format until the ball is in the hole. EACH PLAYER MUST HIT AT LEAST ONE (1) DRIVE and no more than 3 drives per player. Each player can use 1 MULLIGAN per round. The score is a TEAM SCORE. There will also be one Closest to the Pin contest for both men and women on Par 3 holes. An email will be sent out ahead of time with a list of teams. We ask that everyone arrives by at least 4:30 PM . In the event or chance of rain, an email will be sent out by 1:30 pm, indicating whether the golf is still on or will be cancelled. If the golf is cancelled due to weather, we will still meet for dinner at 7 PM as we will have reservations at the restaurant. If you wish to have a non-golfer join us for dinner, please indicate this on the spreadsheet also. Designate that they are dinner only. The first person listed for each foursome will be the designated scorekeeper and deliver the scorecard to our hosts after the round. Please sign up and get ready for some fall Nine & Dine fun! Eagle Ridge Golf Course 13605 Del Webb Blvd #9369, Summerfield, FL 34491.The YOLO Club will be hosting a 9 and Dine on Thursday, October 8th with T-Times starting at 2:30 PM. If we have a sufficient number of players we will have a shot gun start at 2:30 PM. Following golf we will dine at the Liberty Grill restaurant on site.The rate will be around $30+ tax to be paid at the course. Dinner is on your own. Please indicate if you wish to have someone join you for dinner who is not playing golf. This will be 4-person scramble. 1 Drive per person. No more than 3 drives per person. Women play from the Yellow or back . Men play from the Silver or back. You must play the same Tee throughout play. Women over 75 may T-up the ball anywhere except in sandtraps. Men over age 80 may play from the Yellow T’s. A scramble involves everyone hitting a drive and choosing the best ball of the 4 to play. Everyone hits their second ball from this spot. The team chooses the best ball again until the ball is in the hole. If you have over a bogey, pick up and mark one over on your score card. We are hoping to hold these 9 and dines thoughout the Fall and winter months if there is enough interest. We plan on the second Thursday of the month.

December 16, 2026: Christmas Party Gift Exchange- 13th Annual YOLO Christmas Gift Exchange, Coconut Cove- 6-9 PM. Free to YOLO Members ONLY. Please join the YOLO Club for the annual Christmas party. We are asking all YOLO members to come celebrate the holidays with us. If you wish to bring a non-member, we will collect $10 at the door. We will be having a UGLY SWEATER contest. If you would like to participate please come prepared. If not festive attire would be great. We will have a gift exchange, so please bring a wrapped gift worth between $15-$20. One gift per person or you won't get to play. The gifts should be for either a man or a woman!! This will be the annual Yankee Swap where each person has the option of taking a person's unwrapped gift or choosing a wrapped gift from under the tree. If the person surrenders their gift to someone, they will go get another wrapped gift from under the tree. Since the first person does not have the option to choose another person's gift, at the end that person may choose any unwrapped gift from anyone.
